Visitor counter for Google Sites

In the new Google Sites the counter goes in through “Embed”. Google also places the code in a separate frame, on an address ending in googleusercontent.com.

Step by step

1. Pick a design on Stats4U and copy the code from the HTML tab.
2. Open your site in the editor and choose Insert → Embed.
3. Switch to the “Embed code” tab, paste the code, click Next and then Insert.
4. Resize the box to fit the counter and click Publish.

In this example the counter number is 12345 and the design is a sample. The wizard gives you your own number and the design you pick.

Free counter

Good to know

• Because of the frame, the list of pages in your statistics may show the googleusercontent.com address instead of your page names. Visitors and countries are counted normally.
• The counter appears on the live site only after you publish.
