Add a counter

Where do I find this link?

  1. When you created the counter, the management link appeared in step 3 after you copied the installation code. Use the link you saved there or received by e-mail.
  2. Already have the statistics open through your management link? Copy the entire address from the browser address bar. It contains /live/ followed by your counter number and ?t= followed by your private key.
  3. Paste that entire address into the field above and choose “Add counter”. You do not need to fill in a separate number or key.

A public statistics link without ?t= does not prove ownership. A statistics password, read-only sharing link or Google login cannot be used here.

Treat the management link like a password: it gives access to your counter’s settings. Do not publish it or send it to others.

I do not have my management link

You can get a new link by proving that you can edit the website where the counter is installed:

  1. Find your counter number: it is the number after /live/ in its statistics address, after /c/ in the installation code, or after s4uid= in older code.
  2. Open the recovery page below and enter that number plus the exact address of a page on your website that contains this counter.
  3. Request the verification text. Add the displayed text to that same page’s HTML source, for example as an HTML comment. It does not need to be visible.
  4. Save and publish your change, then run the check on the recovery page. After a successful check, copy and save the new management link.
  5. Return here and paste the new link into “Full management link”. Recovery invalidates the old link; counters already linked with it must be added again.

Recover my management link

If you previously stored an e-mail address for this counter, open its statistics page, expand “Owner of this counter” and choose “Management link by e-mail”, then “Send”. Delivery goes only to the address already stored for that counter. If you cannot access that mailbox, use recovery through your website.

Alternative: enter the number and key separately

Use this only if you already have your management link. Both values come from that same link:

Linked counters are kept in this browser session, up to 20 counters. In another browser or after the session ends, add them again. A new management key revokes the old access.
