The daily hash is built from IP, user agent, counter number, date and a secret salt that changes every day and is deleted after 2 days. After that, not even a known IP allows anyone to work out which hash belonged to whom. Because the counter number is part of it, the same visitor on two different sites cannot be recognised as the same person.
The counter sets no cookies and reads nothing from your device. On stats4u.net itself a session cookie is set only when you create or change a counter.
The home page serves Google AdSense advertising. A consent layer asks for your agreement first. The statistics pages and the blog carry no advertising.
The legal basis for counting is the site owner's legitimate interest in audience measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Whoever embeds the counter on their site is the controller for the data collected there; Stats4U processes it on their behalf.

Stats4U — це аналітичний інструмент, орієнтований на приватність. Наша мета — давати власникам сайтів найпотрібніші статистичні дані, не зазіхаючи на приватність їхніх відвідувачів.
2. Збирання даних
Коли ви відвідуєте сайт із нашим лічильником, ми автоматично збираємо базові технічні відомості: знеособлену IP-адресу (лише для визначення країни та міста), тип браузера (User-Agent), роздільну здатність екрана, джерело переходу (Referrer) і відвідані адреси.
3. Підхід без cookie
На відміну від багатьох інших аналітичних систем, наші скрипти для відвідувачів не використовують файли cookie, щоб стежити за вами на різних сайтах. Ми шануємо вашу приватність і не будуємо рекламних профілів.
4. Використання даних
Зібрані дані використовуються виключно для створення зведених статистичних звітів для власника сайту. Ми ніколи не продаємо й не передаємо первинні дані третім сторонам.
5. Зберігання даних
Первинні журнали відвідувань автоматично зводяться й знеособлюються. Після строку, потрібного для формування статистики (зазвичай 30 днів), докладні журнали остаточно видаляються з наших серверів.
6. Ваші права (GDPR)
Відповідно до Загального регламенту про захист даних (GDPR) ви маєте право вимагати доступ до своїх даних, їх виправлення, видалення або обмеження обробки. Втім, оскільки дані здебільшого знеособлюються одразу, встановити конкретну особу може бути неможливо.
